Association of Social Work Alumni (ASWA)
2015-16

Association of social work Alumni is the organization of students who studied and took education from the college. Form rally it is active from the academic session 2003-2004 and registers the student regularly every year. The organization selected working committee, consultation committee and members to handle the activities of organization. Every year arrange the educational program such as employment interview, workshop, meets, and seminars. It also organizes programs of other institution at their own capacity.

1. To organized seminar, workshop and training for social work students.
2. To provide information regarding employment in varied industries (small and large scale), projects and institutions.
3. To organize campus interview for social work students
4. To organize camps for government employment and to make protest of government’s unfavorable plans and policies as a part of social action.
5. To provide help for society in natural calamities.
6. To organize social and cultural awareness programs, highlighting social issues.
7. To implement the schemes of state governments, central government and municipality.
8. To make awareness in the society on varied issues by seminar, street play, Acrobatics
9. To make Alumni active for government resolution in view of government services or employment.
10. To provide constructive programme for educator, education and utility of social work profession.

Mission :

1. To establish interaction between students and employees by making Alumni’s registration and management in the form of an (Association).
2. To organize seminar conference, workshop, meets from Alumni association.
3. To avail opportunities for social work students
4. To help victims of natural clarities calamities and prepare rescue teams.
5. College will support and give preference to all activities and program of association.

Functions of the committee

1. To preserve communication and contacts of registered and non registered students.
2. To inspire students for registration.
3. Organize regular meeting of Alumni Association.
4. To implement, organize and planning of varied projects and programs.
5. To make decision with the permission of college students for project establishment and program planning.
6. To preserve reports and documentation.
7. To organize and utilize funds for program and activities.

Report:

In the year 2015-16 there are 206 Alumni has been registered. Three meeting has been conducted in this academic year. These are as fallow.

It has also been proposed to complete varied activities in the Meeting. Help to inspire college students to be active.

Meeting No. 1

In the first meeting dated 25.07.2015 there are 15. Alumni were present to the meeting Alumni president Shri. Santosh Thorat , Dr. A. R. Bhele, Dr. Pravin Wankhede, Dr. Sunita Bhoikar, Dr. Milind Sawai (President) Dr. Minakshi Kubde and Dipak Magarde (Asst. Prof.) were present to the meeting. It is proposed to guide and share their experiences, knowledge and skill with the college students.

Meeting No. 2

In the meeting held on 09.08.2015, it is proposed to take program on awareness about HIV/ AIDS by Rajashri Dhanvij (Counselor, HIV/ AIDS, M.G.I.M.S. Wardha.) It was held in the presence of Dr. Milind Sawai (Principal) Dr. Sunita Bhoikar, Dr. A. R. Bhele, Dipak Magarde (Asst. Prof.) and B. N. Khelkar (Asst. Prof.) Approval has been given by principal for the program.

Activity No. 1

On the event of international youth day alumni association organized HIV/ AIDS awareness program on 12.08.2015 by Rajashri Dhanvij (Counselor, HIV/ AIDS M.G.I.M.S. Wardha.) Participation of the student was on the large scale. They resolve their doubt without hesitation. Dr. Milind Sawai (Principal) Dr. A. R. Bhele, Dipak Magarde (Asst. Prof.) and B. N. Khelkar (Asst. Prof.) were present to the program.

Meeting No. 3

In the third meeting dated 22.03.2016, current alumni activities in the association has been discussed. It is proposed to change current acting committee and to make avail opportunity to new member for their activities in the association Dr. Milind Sawai (Principal) Dr. A. R. Bhele, Dr. Pravin Wankhede, Dr. Sunita Bhoikar, Shri. Santosh Thorat (Alumni president) Dr. Minakshi Kubde, Shri. Ajay Lokhande, Manish Kawade and 12 alumni were Present to the meeting.
