Report on Students Satisfaction Survey (SSS)
Session: 2015-2016

The College has established Feed Back Committee to discharge evaluative activates. Periodical evaluation of academic, administrative and institutional facilities and services is the vital function and responsibility of any educational institute that help to adopt correctives and developmental policies, practices and execution of plans. Without making self evaluation no institute can go ahead and acquired its desired and designed goals.

The college management and administration is keen interesting in its periodical assessment and audits. Hence the principal of the college has formed independent mechanism i.e. Feedback committee during the year 2015-16. The task of committee is to

  • Organized and plan feed back program.
  • Design of schedules
  • Class arise survey
  • Data processing, tabulation and interpretation
  • Report writing, full and final Draft.

The Report is prepared by committee. The report includes satisfaction of students regarding.

  • Teaching – Learning Performance of teachers.
  • Satisfaction about Institutional facilities and services.

For the purpose of collection of data, questions relating to above two aspects and its options are designed for the actual data collection. 50% students ratio is finalized. Thus schedules are filled by 50% students randomly from each class. The schedules were comprised of 21 questions. The Report is prepared from the interpretation and analysis of obtained data. There were total 282 students out of which 166 have reported their opinions.

Conclusions:
  • 91.45% students are agreeing that the teacher take regular classes all time. Whereas 34% have show strongly agree nears.
  • Almost students (96.40%) have been reported that teachers always focused on syllabus. They also provide additional information and current knowledge.
  • This is also reveal from says of 90% students that teachers usually promote motivational environment in class room. They provide opportunities for discussion and interaction. However 10% students are not found positive with this opinion.
  • Do the teacher complete portion of syllabus within time? In this regard 91.58% students have responded that every teacher completes the portion of syllabus before beginning of university.
  • 92% Students have responded that subject teachers always used various teaching methods and aids so that teacher’s. Teachers process will be smoothen, live and understandable. This has promoted active involvement and participation of students in teaching learning process.
  • Our college teachers does regular attempt to make effective teaching and hence to make their job more meaning full and easiest they use variety of methods. The institute administration was wishing to ensured satisfaction of students about teaching. In this context, this is shown by 91% students that they are satisfied with the methods used by teachers while teaching.
  • 90% Students are agreed that teachers help students in providing study materials. They also solve student’s individuals and academic problems and difficulties encounter by them during session.
  • Social Work Practicum is the ingredient comport of social work education. While doing the field work activities, students experienced several difficulties; hence they need group and personal guidance and moral support. To assess the level of satisfaction and teachers roles in guidance, this question was added. In this regard this is found that 92% are satisfied and agreed that they get adequate guidance about field activities.
  • As far as the participation and involvement of teacher-student in group work, field project, seminar and class room environment, this is observed is from the opinion of 93% students, there is rapport and close association between teachers and students. They collectively plan and work. Free interaction process is happened usually between them.
  • According to 93% student’s responses, this is cleared that teachers always help student to determine their career goals. Teacher always conduct discussion with student about career goal oriented themes. These have help students to set their goals and work plan.
  • To provide information regarding latest development in the field of social work, teacher present case studies of distinguished institutions they conduct field and educational visits to several places in state and other states. We also organize interaction and experience sharing students with high professionals, activists and our passed out students, those who are working with different organization and studying in reputed institutions. Therefore 90% Students said that, teachers always refer latest development.
  • According to 77% students, this is found that, teachers are providing multiple types of helps to students while facing physical emotional, financial problems and learning challenges. However 23% students said that teachers do not help students in their crisis.
  • 83% students have assured that the teachers in college are skilful in teaching. They have sufficient skill of teaching. They know to link subject teaching to life experiences. Therefore they can create interest in students.
  • In context of co-operation of teachers and administrative staff, majority 86% respondents have been remarked positively. Therefore this can be concluded that teachers and administrative staff are co-operative toward students.
  • According to 90% students, this has been derived that, teachers in college provide regular guidance and advice on, preparation of university examination. They organize periodical session on this topic. Therefore progress of students in university examination remained always better. In this case optimum satisfaction have found among them.
  • College always provides qualitative and adequate educational facilities and services. Moreover other extramural facilities also being provided. With these views near about 87% students are agreed and strongly agreed.
  • 95% students have agreed that, College takes adequate care of student’s overall development. For this purpose, the principal always support teachers to conduct several student’s personality development centric programs and activities with active support of students.
  • Almost 87% Students have responded positively that college maintain good educational environment i.e. secured campus environment and healthy humanitarian surroundings by providing sport, cultural NSS services and physical facilities such as safe drinking water, hygienic toilets, rest rooms, first aid box and safer campus surrounding for girls and boys. More over college take adequate care of economically lower class student, gender equality and democratic values are core policy.
  • As per 94% students’ respondents, this is found that, the college has created and maintaining healthy educational environment for student’s sake.
  • 87% students have remarked that, college has made available sufficient library facilities. Library also is providing early and adequate library facilities for students.
Conclusions:

From the analysis, interpretation and conclusion drawn on the basic of obtained data of student’s opinion on academic and institutional services, facilities and approaches this has been found that:

Teacher is taking regular classes and students have utmost satisfaction. This is also observed from student’s side that every teacher’s teaching is always focused on syllabus. In addition to this they are provide information on current affairs. However almost students have ensured that, most of time teacher inspired students for classroom discussion and interaction whenever and wherever needed. They also design teaching plan and its execution so that syllabus would be completed within time frame.

Beside this, to make teaching activities most effective, relevant, meaningful and active, teacher usually makes us of various types of teaching methods, techniques and tools. Therefore regarding the use of teaching methods and aids almost students found satisfied. Our teachers also help to students by providing study and reading materials and they provided health individual support regarding another issues such as psychological, financial and other issue facing by them time to time. They (teacher) also try to understand student related problems,

Field work is most important part for social work (UG & PG) program. The field work, activities consist of educational visit, village camp, educational tours, concurrent practice learning survey, research, seminars and assignments while performing fieldwork related work, students do generally encounter several difficulties that need guidance, advice and problem solving activities, time to time through individual group conferences, and regular counseling.

Therefore the college and teaching staff was eager to know about students satisfaction and indirect teaching and guidance that they provide regularly, in this regard this was found that all most student found satisfied

Apart from this there is sufficient participation of teachers and students in group work, seminar and other activities. Teacher always guide students and help realizing their career goals. They also help student facing the emotional, physical, emotional and financial problem. Teachers also are found skill full in linking subject teaching to life experiences According to students view administrative and teacher staff is co-operative, college also is providing adequate educational institutional and infrastructural services, college is also organizing several programs for personality and professional development. Well facilitated environment is there along with sufficient library services and other educational facilities.
